TEKNOFEST 2026 Nuclear Energy Competition Finals Begin in Istanbul
42 finalist teams are showcasing their projects at the Nuclear Energy Technologies Design Competition held in Istanbul.
42 teams have gathered in Istanbul for the finals of the Nuclear Energy Technologies Design Competition held within the scope of TEKNOFEST 2026.
Competition Details and Location
The finals of the competition, organized under the leadership of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources and TENMAK, are taking place on September 1-4, 2026, at the TENMAK campus in Küçükçekmece, Istanbul.
Project Areas Developed
Young people are presenting projects in a wide range of areas, from modular reactors to nuclear waste management, and from passive safety systems to control mechanisms.
Participation and Team Numbers
As a result of evaluations among a total of 193 teams applying from home and abroad, 42 teams and 293 contestants earned the right to participate in the final stage.
Awards and Incentive Support
While 15 million lira in laboratory support is provided to the university of the detailed design winner, millions of liras in cash prizes are distributed to the top-ranking teams.
