TEKNOFEST Food Technologies Panel Held in Southeast
The future of agriculture and water resources were discussed at the festival at Şanlıurfa GAP Airport, and awards were presented to young entrepreneurs who succeeded in the competitions.
The "From Production to Table: New Generation Food Technologies" panel, held as part of TEKNOFEST continuing at Şanlıurfa GAP Airport, conveyed the future of agriculture and the critical importance of water resources to the participants.
TEKNOFEST Continues in Şanlıurfa
The festival, carried out under the leadership of the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the T3 Foundation, continues with various events at Şanlıurfa GAP Airport. A special session focusing on food technologies was held on the stage in the TÜME Foundation area.
Traditional Production and Technology
Speaking at the session, researcher and chef Ömür Akkor drew attention to Anatolia's 12,000-year agricultural history. He emphasized that traditional production must be integrated with maximum technology.
Water Resources and the Future
National athlete Şahika Ercümen stated that food cannot be separated from water and that resources are limited. She argued that quotas should be introduced for water use in the future.
Support for Young Producers
TÜME Foundation General Secretary Sinan Yavuz noted that they develop technologies against potential worst-case scenarios and bring young producers together with investors.
Competition Awards Distributed
Awards were given to the teams that ranked in the Agricultural Technologies Competitions. Significant financial support was provided to successful projects in total.
