TEKNOFEST UAV Competitions Begin at Malatya Tulga Airport
TEKNOFEST UAV finals, where young people will showcase their skills in unmanned aerial vehicle technologies, are opening their doors in Malatya.
Aiming to bring young talents into Turkey's technology ecosystem, the TEKNOFEST International and High School Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Competitions are beginning at Malatya Tulga Airport, coordinated by TÜBİTAK.
Aim and Scope of the Competition
Providing space for young people to turn their innovative ideas into products, the organization brings together participants from different age and educational groups around the same technology goal.
Categories and Organizing Institutions
Organized under the main coordination of the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the Turkey Technology Team Foundation, the event is held in three categories: Fixed Wing, Rotary Wing, and Free Mission.
Application and Finalist Statistics
While 6,463 teams applied for the High School UAV Competition, 55 teams from 22 different provinces achieved the success of making it to the finals.
International Participant Status
Among the 880 teams participating in the International UAV Competition, a total of 58 teams from Turkey, Bangladesh, and Indonesia qualified to be finalists.
Final Dates and Flight Schedule
The finals will be held at Malatya Tulga Airport between September 8 and 13, with competition flights taking place between September 9 and 12.
Award Ceremony Details
Following the completion of the final flights on Sunday, September 13, the successful teams that rank in the competition will be announced with a ceremony to be held.
