Test Area Being Established for UAV and Drone Technologies in Ho Chi Minh City
Ho Chi Minh City has approved the establishment of a dedicated test site for the development and testing of UAV technologies.
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has officially approved a plan to create a practical test area for unmanned aerial vehicle and drone technologies.
Locations Where the Test Area Will Be Established
The newly created test area is planned to be located in Can Gio, Cu Chi, and the city's Northern Science and Technology Urban Area. This move aligns with the goals of the relevant ministries.
Fulfilling Ministry Directives
The implementation of the project aims to fulfill the Ministry of Science and Technology's directive to establish at least one real-world test area by 2026.
Facilitation Provided to Businesses
This dedicated test site will facilitate organizations and businesses in researching, developing, and testing UAV technologies within the scope of permits granted by competent authorities.
Preservation of Legal Responsibilities
Participation in the test area strictly does not remove or alter the responsibilities of organizations and businesses to comply with the procedures and conditions stipulated by relevant laws.
Security and Coordination Efforts
The Ho Chi Minh City Command and relevant units have been tasked to coordinate in identifying suitable locations that meet flight safety, national defense, and security requirements.
