Turkish Scientist Develops Movement Sensor Requiring No External Power
Dr. Olcay Kaan Çakır has developed and patented an electrochemical mechanical sensor that requires no external energy, which is a first in the world.
Turkish scientist Dr. Olcay Kaan Çakır has succeeded in obtaining a patent from the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office by developing the Metal Strip and Multi-Directional Electrochemical Mechanical Sensor, which requires no external power and holds the distinction of being a world first.
Working Principle of the Sensor
The developed innovative sensor operates on the basis of generating an electrical signal as a result of the chemical reaction produced when the liquid inside a closed container comes into contact with metals.
Outstanding Features
Consuming no power, requiring no maintenance, and boasting an extremely long lifespan, this technology can successfully detect both the intensity and direction of movement simultaneously.
Areas of Application
It has a wide usage potential in many different sectors such as biomedical, industrial fields, security, defense industry, aviation, space, and logistics.
Advantages of Domestic Production
Aimed at reducing foreign dependence thanks to its completely domestic production, the invention is expected to be rapidly integrated into daily life due to its easily manufacturable structure.
