Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır announced Türkiye's 2026-2030 Artificial Intelligence Action Plan to the public at the G20 Innovation Ministers Meeting held in the USA. Minister Kacır stated that they aim to reach a leading position internationally in the field of artificial intelligence within the scope of the National Technology Initiative.

Core Strategies of the Action Plan

Türkiye's new artificial intelligence strategy, covering the 2026-2030 period, is built on four main pillars under the headings of 'Recognize, Utilize, Produce, and Manage.' This strategic framework aims to accelerate the country's technological transformation.

Education and Human Resources Targets

Minister Kacır announced that artificial intelligence training will be provided to 5 million citizens within the next two years. Furthermore, the goal is to increase the qualified workforce by training 100,000 application professionals and 10,000 artificial intelligence experts.

Investment and Data Policies

Stating that data center and artificial intelligence investments will be supported through the HIT-30 program, Kacır expressed that they plan to attract $10 billion in private sector investment by 2030. The initiative aims to encourage innovation by opening public data sets to developers.
