Unmanned Helicopter Project Against Forest Fires from Young People in İzmir

Two young people living in İzmir met through TEKNOFEST and brought to life an unmanned aerial vehicle prototype that will facilitate intervention in forest fires, and started testing processes.

The Birth of the Project

28-year-old Tamer Türkay Sabır and 26-year-old Eyüp Erkan decided to work on a joint technological study after meeting at the TEKNOFEST event.

The two young people from İzmir joined forces to offer a more effective and rapid intervention method against the frequent forest fires in our country.

Technical Specifications of the Helicopter

The developed unmanned helicopter prototype was designed to play an active role especially in rugged and steep areas where people have difficulty reaching by land.

Thanks to the camera and remote control systems on it, the vehicle detects potential flames, directs itself to the relevant target area, and carries out firefighting activities.

Future Goals and Tests

The young entrepreneurs continue the field tests of their designed prototype without interruption and want to take the system to an even more advanced level.

In next-generation models, it is planned to integrate artificial intelligence technology and solar panels, as well as a stronger body structure.
