Vessels Accompanying the Activities

Within the scope of the newly published announcement, three different vessels named Denar Pathfinder, Denar Echo, and Kırıcı will accompany the Oruç Reis research vessel. It was stated that these vessels will serve in the designated area between October 1 and 25.

Within the framework of the planned works, scientific research and underwater activities are anticipated to be carried out in the region extending from Turkey's southern coasts to the north of Cyprus.

Natural Gas Pipeline Route

It was stated that the designated working area also covers the route of the planned submarine natural gas pipeline to be established between Turkey and the TRNC. A memorandum of understanding regarding natural gas supply had been signed in July.

It is among the expectations that the research in question will contribute to the studies regarding the submarine structure and route of the planned pipeline.
