Euro-Atlantic Security and Relations with the Islamic World
It was stated that Turkey is one of the essential elements of the Euro-Atlantic security architecture and is deepening its relations with the Islamic world on the basis of shared values.
It was expressed that economic and diplomatic ties have been strengthened in the geography extending from the Middle East to Africa.
Mecca Agreement and Joint Defense Pact
The Mecca Agreement was recorded as a joint defense pact signed in Mecca on August 7, 2026, among Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan.
Within the scope of the agreement, it was decided that an armed attack against one of the parties will be considered made against all of them.
Scope of the Alliance and First Meeting
The signed joint defense pact covers cooperation in the fields of intelligence sharing, joint training, logistics, and the defense industry.
The first high-level meeting of the alliance was held in Istanbul on August 31, 2026, and it was decided to establish the secretariat in Saudi Arabia.
Successes in the Defense Industry
It was emphasized that behind this diplomatic weight lie the successes achieved in the indigenous and national defense industry.
It was stated that the ecosystem extending to unmanned systems, air defense, electronic warfare, and naval platforms has granted the country strategic independence.
Vision for Regional Peace and Stability
It was conveyed that the target of a Turkey Free of Terrorism is the establishment of permanent peace, and the target of a Region Free of Terrorism is the vision of transforming the geography into a basin of peace.
It was argued that Turkey has now become a global actor that sets the agenda rather than one whose agenda is set.
