The 'İyilik Var' platform, launched by the Ministry of Family and Social Services, brings together solidarity activities across the country in a digital environment.
Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş announced that the website and mobile application of the 'İyilik Var' platform, which brings together volunteer efforts across Turkey, have been opened for use.
Introductory Program
Speaking at the introductory program held in Istanbul, Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş shared the details of the new digital network with the public. It was explained that the platform aims to make all examples of goodwill across Turkey more visible.
Objectives of the Platform
The primary goal of the new project is to bring together those in need and citizens who want to support them under one roof, and to expand volunteer activities. The system aims to strengthen the culture of social solidarity with digital opportunities.
Gate of Goodness Project
One of the prominent sections of the platform, the Gate of Goodness, plans to bring together the products, services, and expertise of tradespeople in 81 provinces with citizens in need. In this way, the Ahilik tradition will be revived in neighborhoods.
Three Core Concepts
The project is built on three core concepts: making visible, bringing together, and multiplying. Public institutions, non-governmental organizations, the private sector, and universities can contribute to the system.
Goodness Awards
Within the scope of the organized program, Goodness Awards were presented to 32 volunteers who contributed to society. Minister Göktaş emphasized that solidarity is not limited to financial support alone.
