According to initial determinations, 16 people lost their lives in the accident that took place on the road connecting the towns of Dahab and Nuweiba.

According to statements made by Ministry of Health officials following the accident, 28 people were injured in the incident.

A total of 20 ambulances were dispatched to the scene to provide first aid services and transport the injured to hospitals.
