Global University Expansion

Amazon Web Services has expanded the Kiro program to 132 universities in 18 countries to enable students to work with artificial intelligence at an early stage. With this move, millions of students are granted one year of free access.

Credits and Terms of Use

Under the expanded program, students are allocated one thousand credits every month. Thus, participants can experience artificial intelligence-supported software development processes by using these credits for a year.

From Pilot Phase to Global Scale

Launched as a pilot in March 2026 with 11 universities across two countries, the program has increased its university presence by 12 times at this point. The program has grown to encompass North America as well as Asia-Pacific, Europe, and Latin America.
