Ukraine's capital Kyiv and its surroundings were the target of a large-scale nocturnal air assault organized by Russia. Authorities stated that residences and various civilian infrastructure elements were damaged.

In a statement made via social media, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that a total of 12 people lost their lives in the attacks and that an Indian citizen was among them. It was noted that dozens of people were also injured.
Weapons Used and Lack of Air Defense
It was conveyed that a large number of jet-powered drones and ballistic missiles were used during the attack. Zelenskyy stated that Russia aimed to maximize casualties with these attacks and that the situation occurred precisely due to insufficient air defense resources.
Targets in and Around Odesa
Since Monday evening, Odesa and its region have also been exposed to guided aerial bomb and drone attacks. The Moscow administration has stepped up its attacks targeting Ukraine's ports on the Black Sea and the Danube River, as well as its export infrastructure.
