According to data from the National September 11 Memorial & Museum, exactly twenty-five years have passed since the terrorist attacks that claimed the lives of 2,977 people in New York City, the Pentagon, and near Pennsylvania.
Life and Career of Adam White
Among those who lost their lives was 26-year-old Adam White, who worked at Cantor Fitzgerald, a financial services firm with offices on the 105th floor of the World Trade Center's North Tower.
White, a graduate of North Atlanta High School who participated in school theater productions, was one of the 658 Cantor Fitzgerald employees who died during the attacks.
Memories of His Stepmother
His stepmother, Georgia White, described September 11, 2001, as the day that changed her life forever, stating that after seeing the plane hit the building on television, she called Adam but went straight to voicemail.
Funeral and Memorial Process
Adam White's remains were identified in 2004, and a portion of his ashes was interred at the Cathedral of St. Philip in the Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta.
