Nochi Mendel, the former Israel Defense Forces reserve colonel who gave the attack order, claimed that he would do the same thing again if faced with the same situation and that those who died were not innocent.
Condemnation from Government and Institutions
Mendel's statements were described as shameful by Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong and were also condemned by World Central Kitchen founder José Andrés.
Greens Party's Call for Sanctions
