According to information provided by a senior police official in Peshawar, at least 16 people, including five police officers, lost their lives as a result of the attack.

Ongoing Clashes and Operations

It was reported that armed clashes between security forces and attackers are still ongoing in the area following the attack. Authorities stated that one attacker was neutralized while the clashes continued.

Statement from the President

Following this bloody incident, Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari published a condemnation and condolence message. Zardari wished a speedy recovery to the citizens injured in the explosion.
