Boss Energy has announced the results of a new feasibility study prepared for the Honeymoon uranium project located in South Australia. The project is projected to produce millions of pounds of uranium over its nine-year operational life.
New Plan for the Honeymoon Project
Boss Energy has unveiled a new economic life-of-mine plan for the Honeymoon uranium project situated in South Australia.
The newly announced feasibility study is based on data and experience gained after production restarted in April 2024.
Production and Resource Estimates
According to the newly prepared feasibility study, a total of 13.8 million pounds of U3O8 is planned to be produced over a nine-year operating period.
The company also shared with the public that uranium production for the 2027 fiscal year is forecasted to be between 1.25 and 1.30 million pounds.
Updated Mineral Resources
The project's mineral resource estimate has been updated, and total resources estimated based on a 100 ppm cut-off grade have been determined.
It was stated that 13.7 million pounds of the existing resources are in the Indicated category, while 7.1 million pounds are in the Inferred category.
Executive Statements and Strategy
Boss Energy CEO and Managing Director Matthew Dusci stated that the new study outlines a technically robust roadmap for the Honeymoon project.
The executive emphasized that this study brings about a fundamental change in the operation's cost structure.
