According to a statement by the Egyptian Ministry of Health, a bus accident occurred on Wednesday on the Dahab-Nuweibaa highway in the country's South Sinai region. At least 21 people lost their lives in this tragic accident.
This region, located along the Red Sea coast and frequently preferred by tourists, was shaken by a unfortunate traffic accident. Teams dispatched to the scene continued their work.
Statement from the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Following the accident, the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs also provided an update. According to initial statements, Jordanian citizens were also on board the bus that had the accident.
The ministry shared initial information with the public confirming that there were fatalities and injuries among the Jordanians on the bus.
Similar Traffic Accidents in Egypt
Road accidents across Egypt have continued to draw attention recently. Last month, 15 people lost their lives in another traffic accident in Egypt's Ismailia governorate.
In addition to those who lost their lives in that previous accident, 32 people were injured, and traffic safety measures once again became a subject of debate across the country.
