Condition of the Injured
It was announced that a five-year-old girl placed into an induced coma remains in a critical yet stable condition.
Meanwhile, a 67-year-old man, whose condition was initially critical, has improved to serious but stable.
Statements from the Hospital
John Hunter Hospital confirmed that five other patients are in a stable condition and three people have been discharged.
Driver Arrested and Charged
The 18-year-old learner driver, apprehended at the scene, underwent mandatory testing and was charged with nine separate offenses.
It was reported that the driver, expected to appear in court, was denied bail and police investigations are ongoing.
Not Deliberate and No Terror Link
Police authorities stated that two other occupants in the car, whom the crowd reacted against, were removed from the scene.
