Musical Career and Background

Chad Gilbert was a founding member of New Found Glory, the pop-punk band formed in Florida in the late 1990s that achieved a major breakthrough in the early 2000s. The band played a significant role in the development of the genre with their albums 'Sticks and Stones' and 'Catalyst'.

Before founding New Found Glory, Gilbert served as the vocalist for the hardcore punk band Shai Hulud and briefly returned to the group in 2012.

Health Battle

In a 2021 Instagram post, Gilbert announced that he had undergone surgery to remove a cancerous tumor in his liver. Following this process, he continued to receive multiple cancer treatments.

The musician underwent brain surgery in 2023, during which three tumors in his brain were successfully removed.
