Within the scope of the project to be co-financed with the International Finance Corporation, a member of the World Bank Group, the high-tech manufacturing facility to be established in Kırklareli stands out as GRT's first production base outside of China.
Scope of Materials to be Produced
The facility is planned to produce energy-saving window films, materials for absorbing carbon dioxide and volatile organic compounds, and paint protection films.
Environmental and Regional Goals
The facility aims to contribute to the reduction of industrial emissions and support the use of low-emission advanced materials in developing markets.
The investment aims to increase local manufacturing capacity and strengthen Turkey's position as a regional production hub connecting Europe, Asia, and surrounding markets.
Statements on International Investment
Ajay Bhushan Pandey, Vice President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, stated that Turkey is one of the founding members of the bank and noted that the second-largest investment among all members over the past decade has been realized in Turkey.
Pandey reported that they aim to further expand their portfolio in Turkey, which focuses on energy, transport, waste management, urban development, and climate resilience, in the future.
