Comprehensive Health Screening Conducted for Millions of Elderly Individuals in Family Medicine
In the first nine months of the year, comprehensive health screenings and evaluations were completed for more than 4 million elderly individuals through family medicine practices.
According to the statement made by the Ministry of Health, health evaluations of over 4 million elderly individuals were carried out in family medicine practices within the scope of October 1 International Day of Older Persons during the first nine months of the year.
Elderly Health and Evaluations
The Ministry of Health stated that the aging process is natural and that chronic diseases, vision-hearing problems, mobility difficulties, and cognitive changes can frequently be seen at advanced ages.
Within the scope of the Disease Management Platform application in family medicine units, a multidimensional elderly evaluation is performed for individuals aged 65 and over, taking into account more than 20 parameters.
YAŞAM and e-Report Services
With the Healthy Aging Centers Circular, the medical care needs of individuals aged 80 and over are determined at home, and services have been provided to 266 thousand people since the beginning of the application.
Thanks to the e-Report system implemented as of May 2025, the report renewal processes for citizens aged 80 and over as well as bedridden citizens were facilitated, and the reports of 983 thousand 567 people were renewed nationwide.
