The Prime Minister of Qatar visited Tehran to meet with Iranian officials and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
During the visit, discussions were held regarding the creation of a temporary shipping route between Oman and Iran and an agreement aimed at clearing mines in the Strait of Hormuz.
US Statement on Negotiations
In a statement made by the White House, it was clearly stated that no negotiation process is currently being carried out between the United States and Iran.
President Donald Trump, on the other hand, remained ambiguous regarding potential sanctions against Chinese banks or plans to increase economic pressure on Iran.
Military Deployments and Regional Incidents
US Navy officials reported that the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt will be deployed to the Middle East for a period of at least seven months.
Additionally, a tanker sailing in the Strait of Hormuz caught fire as a result of being targeted by an unidentified object, and the fire in question was extinguished shortly.
Situation in the South Pars Gas Field
Iranian authorities announced that 40 percent of the production capacity of the South Pars gas field, which was damaged as a result of the Israeli attack earlier in the year, has been restored to operation.
