Within the scope of TEKNOFEST, organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the T3 Foundation, domestic and national health technologies were exhibited at the booth of the Presidency of Health Institutes of Turkey (TÜSEB). Turkey's first domestic heart-lung machine and artificial intelligence-supported imaging systems were introduced at the event.

Domestic Devices Exhibited at TEKNOFEST

At the festival continuing at Şanlıurfa GAP Airport, domestic health technologies are meeting visitors at the booth of the Presidency of Health Institutes of Turkey (TÜSEB). Various medical devices, such as Turkey's first domestic heart-lung machine, a domestic mobile digital X-ray device, and an automated external defibrillator, are featured at the booth.

Artificial Intelligence Shortening Time in Stroke Cases

Developed by TÜSEB and its portfolio companies, the TÜSEB RadAI-STK system aims to shorten emergency intervention time in stroke cases. The system automatically analyzes brain imaging taken in emergency departments, detects findings of intracranial hemorrhage and large vessel occlusion, and notifies the physician team.

The system, which is a CE-certified Class IIa medical decision support tool within the scope of the European Union Medical Devices Regulation, provides physicians with the opportunity for follow-up outside the hospital through mobile application and smartwatch integration.

Transition to a Producing Model in Healthcare

Prof. Dr. Hakkı Muammer Karakaş, President of the Turkey Health Data Research and Artificial Intelligence Applications Institute (TÜYZE), emphasized that a transition has been made to a model that produces rather than consumes in healthcare. Karakaş stated that a domestic high-segment ultrasound device, as well as defibrillators and heart-lung machines manufactured by ASELSAN, are exhibited at the booth.

Stating that the software for the AI-powered MRI device was realized by TÜYZE, Karakaş noted that this software is used by global manufacturers. He also mentioned that they have developed an automatic device for tuberculosis screening to be used in Sub-Saharan Africa and that they will register it with the World Health Organization.
