FIFA officially stated that the decision regarding whether the 2030 World Cup final will be played in Morocco or Spain will be made at a later date, in due course.
Morocco's Casablanca Claim
Fouzi Lakjaa, president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, claimed in a speech at a political rally that the final match would be played at the Grand Stade Hassan II stadium currently under construction in Benslimane.
Spain's Expectations
Meanwhile, Rafael Louzán, president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, insisted that Spain deserves the final match on the grounds that they hold the current world champion title.
Joint Hosts of the Tournament
The 2030 World Cup tournament will be co-hosted by Spain, Portugal, and Morocco, with opening matches also taking place in Uruguay, Argentina, and Paraguay.
