Furman University Alumni Leaders Return to Their Alma Mater

Furman University 1993 alumni Finnish President Alexander Stubb and General Joshua Rudd visited the campus to refresh their memories and participate in various events. The two figures shared the impacts of their years at the university on their careers.

Partnership Agreement with the NSA

During the visit, an Educational Partnership Agreement was signed between Furman University President Elizabeth Davis and NSA Director and U.S. Cyber Command Commander General Joshua Rudd. The agreement provides a framework for collaboration in areas such as artificial intelligence and linguistics.

Meeting with Students

Stubb and Rudd came together with students at the Trone Student Center to discuss the importance of a liberal arts education and a sense of curiosity in their career development. The events continued with a discussion moderated by Professor Brent Nelsen.
