Found Unresponsive at Home
The Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office conducted a welfare check at Kenan "Ken" Urker's residence after relatives asked police for assistance. His relatives saw Urker lying motionless in bed through an exterior window.
A person who entered the home noticed that Urker was not breathing and was cold to the touch. Authorities who arrived at the scene conducted investigations.
Findings at the Scene
Law enforcement officers discovered drug paraphernalia, including syringes, a spoon, and a brownish powdery substance, in the bathroom adjacent to the bedroom.
Authorities also reported finding a syringe and a handgun on the nightstand next to the bed.
