This meeting will mark the official start of the Million Children Praying the Rosary initiative.
Global Prayer Program
On the same day at around five o'clock in the evening at the Lourdes Grotto, the children and the Pope will establish a spiritual bond with Christian communities around the world.
For the first time this year, the campaign will last for a full week from October 1 to 7 instead of just one day.
Widespread Global Participation
Communities from many different regions such as the Bolivian Amazon, Sudan, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, and Paraguay will join this campaign for peace and unity.
This movement, which began in Venezuela in 2005, is inspired by the messages of Fatima.
