Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi made evaluations to members of the press at the United Nations on Friday.
Araghchi stated that they conveyed a concrete seven-day plan to the Washington administration aimed at opening the Strait of Hormuz to safe and normal transits.
Emphasis on Normalization Within Seven Days
The Iranian Minister conveyed that if the necessary conditions are met completely, the strait could be reopened in just seven days.
It was emphasized that the ball is now in the court of the United States to restore maritime traffic in the region to normal.
June Memorandum of Understanding
It was recalled that the concrete steps the US needs to take are included in the memorandum of understanding reached between the two countries in June.
It was stated that this text, agreed upon by Iran and the United States, determines the roadmap to be followed.
