In a statement on his social media account, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that their conditions are clear and that any step towards reopening the Strait of Hormuz depends on the fulfillment of these terms. Araghchi stated that a way out of the crisis is only possible through a negotiated solution.
Trump's Rejection of the Plan
US President Donald Trump announced that he rejected the peace proposal conveyed by Iran last week at the United Nations General Assembly through Qatari mediation. Trump argued that Iran's effort for an agreement stems from suffering heavy losses and desperation.
The Future of Talks
In a phone interview with Axios, Trump did not completely close the door to diplomacy, stating that he expects US negotiators to hold further talks this week. Meanwhile, Araghchi stated that the parties mediating talks between Tehran and Washington had not conveyed an official rejection to him.

The conflicts that began with US and Israel attacks on Iran in late February expanded as Iran and its regional allies targeted American interests and Saudi Arabia.
