Iran Launches Strikes on US Targets in Jordan, Kuwait, and Bahrain
In response to US airstrikes in southern Iran, Iran targeted military bases in Jordan, Kuwait, and Bahrain with ballistic missiles and drones.
Iran has launched a new wave of ballistic missiles and drones targeting US military interests in Jordan, Kuwait, and Bahrain, despite stern warnings from US President Donald Trump against any potential retaliation.
Move Following US Strikes
This move by Iran came just hours after the US military launched airstrikes across southern Iran following developments around the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz.
Targeting Camp Titin in Jordan
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed to have launched a heavy ballistic missile attack on Camp Titin, a US Marine Corps base located near the Gulf of Aqaba within Jordanian borders.
Jordanian military authorities reported that air defense systems neutralized most of the missiles and that there were no casualties in the incident.
Developments in Kuwait and Bahrain
Kuwaiti military officials also announced that air defense systems were activated against hostile missile and drone threats directed at the country.
In Bahrain, radar facilities and the Sheikh Isa Air Base, where US forces are located, were targeted by the Iranian military, while the Bahraini Ministry of Interior issued a public safety warning.
Trump's Warning and Tehran's Reaction
US President Donald Trump had warned the Tehran administration via social media against a possible retaliation, stating that a much harsher response would be given.
Despite all these warnings, Iranian officials and Revolutionary Guard Corps spokesman Hossein Mohebi stated that severe punishment against the aggressors was inevitable.
