Regional Tension and Conflicts
This meeting marks the highest-level contact to take place following mutual attacks in the region and moves by the US and Israel targeting Iran. The Iranian army announced on Thursday that certain military bases in Kuwait and the UAE had been targeted.
BRICS Declaration and Balance Policy
Iran and the UAE, alongside other BRICS members, supported a declaration calling for maximum restraint in the Middle East. Meanwhile, India is trying to maintain its ties with Washington and Tel Aviv while continuing its relations with Tehran and Abu Dhabi.
