A federal jury in Virginia found Mohammad Sharifullah guilty in April of providing material support to the ISIS-Khorasan terrorist organization.
Judge Anthony Trenga sentenced the defendant to the maximum possible sentence of 20 years in prison for the charge in the international terrorism case.

The suicide bombing near the Abbey Gate of Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul killed 13 US service members as well as approximately 160 Afghans.
