New York Contacts and UN Visit
He stated that as the Head of the Turkey-US Interparliamentary Friendship Group, they were in New York between September 20-23 with the delegation led by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
He emphasized that this process was a historical turning point where they witnessed firsthand Turkey's specific weight at the table, its uncompromising stance, and its intellect guiding world politics.
Global System and 'The World is Bigger than 5' Vision
He stated that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed the world from the UN podium for the 16th time and raised the voice of the oppressed.
Stating that the global system is blocked, he conveyed that the fate of over 190 countries cannot be left to the lips of 5 permanent members, and the 'The World is Bigger than 5' vision was reiterated.
Humanitarian Tragedy in Gaza
He reminded that Gaza has been described as the world's largest children's cemetery and the most disgraceful concentration camp of our era.
He voiced that 74,000 civilians have been massacred in Gaza in the last 3 years, and over 1,500 innocent people have been killed even after the ceasefire.
Turkey's Brave and Honorable Stance
He stated that even though voices are rising against Israeli persecution all over the world, there is no other country in the arena of states taking as much initiative as Turkey.
He expressed that if everyone had exhibited a brave stance like Turkey, these persecutions would not be talked about today.
Turkish-American Relations and Targets
He stated that as they enter the 100th year of diplomatic relations, the target of increasing the trade volume with the US to 100 billion dollars continues.
He noted that a level of 38.6 billion dollars was reached in 2025, and the 28 billion dollar band was captured in the first 8 months of 2026.
