The Struggle in the Cockpit

A knife attack occurred inside the cockpit of a FlyDubai flight en route to Tel Aviv while it was in cruise flight, leading to terrifying moments for those on board.

One of the passengers sitting in the front rows reported hearing screams as the plane descended toward the Saudi Arabian desert and seeing pilots tumbling out of the cockpit in a bloody struggle.

Intervention by Passengers

Three passengers on the plane immediately intervened against the aggressive and armed pilot, successfully neutralizing him with the help of flight headset cables.

With the support of passengers who had aviation experience, the aircraft landed safely in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia.

Condition of the Injured Pilot

The injured pilot, identified by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as Indian national Captain Smit Machchhar, managed to escape the compartment despite severe stab wounds.

The Indian Embassy in Riyadh confirmed that Captain Machchhar is in stable condition and receiving treatment at a hospital in Tabuk.
