Long-Term Investment Loan Support for Agriculture and Food Sector
Ziraat Bank is offering long-term loan opportunities of up to $10 million for agriculture and food investments within the scope of the TARGET Project, funded by the World Bank.
Ziraat Bank announced that, under the coordination of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, implemented by ARDSI (TKDK), and financed by the World Bank within the framework of the TARGET Project, long-term financing of up to $10 million will be provided for agricultural and food investments.
Aim and Scope of the Project
Within the framework of the cooperation, the funds provided by ARDSI from the World Bank will be transferred as investment loans to legal entities through Ziraat Bank.
The project aims to facilitate access to finance for businesses planning to invest in the agriculture and food sector.
Loan Conditions and Maturities
It is planned to provide reimbursable financing support of up to 80 percent of the investment amount within the scope of the project.
The financing, which can be increased up to $10 million depending on the project size, will be offered with a maturity of up to 7 years, with a grace period of a maximum of 2 years.
Schedule and Targets
It is anticipated that the project announcement under the TARGET Project will be made by ARDSI by the end of the year, and financing disbursements will begin in 2027 following the applications.
In the first phase of the resource planned as a total of $5.3 billion over a ten-year period, it is aimed to disburse a portion of $750 million.
Evaluations by Officials
Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Ahmet Bağcı stated in his speech at the signing ceremony that the project is a critical step in strengthening the agricultural sector.
Ziraat Bank General Manager Alpaslan Çakar and ARDSI President Ahmet Antalyalı also emphasized that the project will contribute to the sustainable development of the sector.
