Minister of National Education Tekin Meets with Ankara TVF Sports High School Students

Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin, together with Turkey Volleyball Federation President Mehmet Akif Üstündağ, visited Ankara TVF Sports High School to meet with the students who became world champions at the 2026 World High School Volleyball Championship and received information about their work.

Training Visit and Congratulations

Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin and Turkey Volleyball Federation President Mehmet Akif Üstündağ observed the students' training firsthand at Ankara TVF Sports High School.

Minister Tekin congratulated the students, teachers, and federation officials who achieved success in the 2026 World High School Volleyball Championship.

Education and Sports Model

Minister Tekin stated that they are working on a model that will conduct academic education and athletic training together and identify talents at an early age.

It was stated that educational programs are shaped in cooperation with sectors and institutions within the scope of the project school model.

Thematic Sports High Schools

Currently, thematic high schools operate in 8 branches: football, volleyball, basketball, athletics, weightlifting, wrestling, swimming, and cycling.

The school planned to be built in Erzurum is anticipated to be evaluated as a winter sports high school.

Statements by the Federation President

Turkey Volleyball Federation President Mehmet Akif Üstündağ emphasized that Minister Tekin has always stood by the federation.

Üstündağ reported that the school team has achieved 2 world championships and 1 world third place in the last 3 championships.

Teachers' Room Meeting

Continuing the visit, Minister Yusuf Tekin came together with educators in the school's teachers' room and chatted with them.

Ankara Provincial Director of National Education Murat Küçükali was also present during this meaningful visit.
