Mojtaba Khamenei Extricated from Rubble Following US and Israeli Strikes

It has been reported that Iran's new leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, was extricated from the rubble of a building during joint US and Israeli strikes targeting hospitals in Tehran. Following the incident, international statements were made regarding the condition of Khamenei, who was relocated to an undisclosed location.

Strikes Directed at the Hospital

According to information based on an interview given by Mohsen Heidari, a member of the Assembly of Experts of Iran, to the Qatar-based television channel Al Araby, Mojtaba Khamenei was targeted at the hospital where he was receiving treatment following previous bombardments.

While it is known that former leader Ayatollah Khamenei and senior officials lost their lives in joint US and Israeli strikes directed at Tehran in February, it was stated that Mojtaba was also injured during this process.

The Process of Extraction from the Rubble

According to details shared by Mohsen Heidari, Mojtaba Khamenei, who was taken to a Tehran hospital following the initial attacks, was affected by the wave of bombings targeting three hospitals in the capital.

With the third hospital also being targeted, Mojtaba Khamenei was pulled out from the rubble of the building and subsequently moved to an unknown location without appearing in public.

Assembly of Experts and Health Status

Following the developments, Mojtaba Khamenei was elected as the country's new leader in a vote held by the Assembly of Experts of Iran, securing 50 out of 59 votes.

On the other hand, US President Donald Trump addressed speculations regarding Mojtaba's health status, stating that he was seriously injured on his left side but that he does not believe he is dead.
