Mystery of World War II Motorcycle and Soldiers Found in the Danube in Budapest

Historic Discovery in the Danube River
More than eighty years since the end of World War II, a historical artifact has been pulled from the Danube River. Among the summer finds in central Budapest is a German military motorcycle.
Model and Condition of the Motorcycle
Examinations by authorities revealed that the vehicle recovered from the riverbed is a DKW NZ 350-1 model Wehrmacht motorcycle. Photos released to the press show the motorcycle covered in a thick layer of mud and severely corroded.
Soldiers' Remains and Identity Tags
Near the motorcycle, the remains of two German soldiers were found along with two remarkably well-preserved identification tags. Diane Tempel-Bornett, a spokesperson for the German War Graves Commission, stated that the identities of the soldiers have not yet been determined and the tags are currently in the process of being deciphered.
Investigation and Uncertainties
Researchers are continuing their work to confirm the identities through military records, historical documents, and physical clues. The cause of death of the soldiers continues to remain a mystery.
