Resumption of Military Strikes Between the US and Iran
As tensions between the two countries escalate following new US military strikes targeting locations in Iran, the Iranian side announced that it has begun retaliating.
Following the US resumption of military strikes against targets in Iran, a missile hitting a wedding house in the Sirik region resulted in the deaths of four people, including a child. Following these developments, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced that it had begun delivering a regret-inducing response to the attacks.
Resumption of Military Strikes
The US military announced that it has resumed military strikes against various targets in Iran in response to attempts directed at maritime transport in the region and American troops.
As a result of these operations, sounds of explosions were heard at many different points in southern Iran, and tension in the region escalated rapidly.
Wedding House Targeted in the Sirik Region
According to statements made by the Iranian Red Crescent, a US missile struck a residence during a wedding ceremony in the Sirik district of Hormozgan province.
It was reported that four people, including a young child, lost their lives and more than fifty people were injured in this incident.
Stern Warnings from US President Trump
United States President Donald Trump stated that if Iran retaliates against the recent attacks, they will be struck with a much harsher and higher-level response.
Trump stated that these operations were carried out as retaliation following the attempt to lay mines in the Strait of Hormuz and the attacks on the American military base in Jordan.
Regret-Inducing Response Statement from Iran
According to reports by Iranian state television IRIB, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced the launch of a regret-inducing response against the aggressors in retaliation for these attacks.
These military moves between the parties confirmed concerns that last weekend's clashes could escalate into a broader conflict.
Developments Regarding the Jordan Base and Jiroft Airport
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed that a ballistic attack was carried out on the US Marine barracks located at Camp Titin near Aqaba, and that numerous US soldiers were killed.
While the Jordanian army stated that ten out of thirteen ballistic missiles were intercepted and three fell into empty areas, US sources reported no injuries or damage at the barracks. Additionally, a missile landed outside the runway of Jiroft Airport in Kerman province, but no casualties or damage occurred.
