Russian drone hits Kyiv-Warsaw passenger train near Polish border

A Kyiv-Warsaw passenger train traveling in western Ukraine, just two kilometers from the Polish border, was targeted by a Russian drone. At least six people lost their lives in large-scale attacks carried out across the country throughout the night.

Train Attack in Border Region

The passenger train heading from Kyiv to Warsaw was attacked by a Russian drone two kilometers short of the Polish border. While passengers on the train were evacuated during the incident, there were no fatalities on the train.

Large-Scale Overnight Attacks

In the attacks across Ukraine throughout the night, which involved more than 450 drones and missiles, at least six people died and over forty were injured. The Ukrainian air force announced that 405 drones and four missiles were intercepted.

Regional Impacts and Reactions

The heavy damage inflicted on the usually quieter western regions also triggered air raid warnings at the Polish border. A truck near the Dorohusk-Yahodyn border crossing was also hit, and officials reacted strongly to the events.
