Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy announced that a drone attack was carried out by Russia on the main building of the Security Service of Ukraine, located in the center of the capital Kyiv.

The drone attack carried out in Ukraine's capital Kyiv directly targeted one of the state's critical institutions. Dense black smoke rising from the scene was visible from different parts of the city.

Statement from Zelenskiy

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy shared the details of the attack with the public in a statement via his social media account. He stated that he had spoken with the acting head of the institution, Oleksandr Poklad.

The information that five people were injured as a result of the attack was confirmed by the mayor of Kyiv via the Telegram application.

Building in Historic District Targeted

It was confirmed that the central building, located on Volodymyrska Street and opposite Saint Sophia's Cathedral, was hit. It was reported that the drone directly targeted the office of the head of the security service.
