Singh, a Sikh truck driver making a trip to Pennsylvania, took a break at a rest stop in southern Wyoming and wanted to use the restroom.
Realizing someone was following him as he entered, the driver suddenly began to be beaten and stabbed without any warning shortly thereafter.
Severely Injured Driver Taken to Hospital
The driver, who was stabbed multiple times across his body including his neck area and received 17 stab wounds, managed to get outside after the attacker fled.
Bleeding heavily and collapsing onto the pavement, the injured driver waited for help to arrive and was subsequently taken to the hospital for treatment.
Attacker Arrested and Charges Filed
As a result of the efforts carried out by law enforcement forces following the incident, 45-year-old Andrew Kris Bzdak was detained.
Legal proceedings were initiated against the suspect on charges of first-degree attempted murder, and he was arrested.

The injured driver Singh, who requested that only his last name be used for security reasons, stated that he was deeply shaken by the violence he suffered and could not make sense of why he was targeted.
