Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson has expressed a desire to make the country great again by securing a second term in Sunday's parliamentary elections. Election Race in Sweden

Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson is aiming to return to power in the parliamentary elections to be held on Sunday.

Kristersson, who has led a center-right three-party coalition since 2022, made striking remarks in statements ahead of the election.

Poll Standings

Opinion polls show the center-left opposition bloc led by former Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson slightly ahead with 50.8 percent of the vote.

The incumbent right-wing bloc is closely trailing the opposition with a vote share of 47.6 percent.

Attacks in Kiev

It was reported that two people lost their lives and numerous others were injured in Russian attacks reportedly launched against gas stations in the Ukrainian capital, Kiev.

Ukrainian authorities condemned these attacks targeting civilian infrastructure and expressed outrage.

European Union Funds

The European Commission has approved an additional payment of 6.1 billion euros to Ukraine for air defense systems and other procurement.

Crash in Switzerland

It was reported that five people lost their lives when a bus carrying Dutch tourists overturned in the eastern part of Switzerland.
