Turkey's 2025 Service Exports Reached $124.9 Billion

The Ministry of Trade announced, based on TURKSTAT data, that service exports increased by 6.5 percent in 2025 and reached $124.9 billion, setting a new record.

Record Level in Service Exports

In a written statement by the Ministry of Trade, it was reported that according to Turkish Statistical Institute data, service exports increased by 6.5 percent compared to the previous year in 2025, reaching $124.9 billion.

Service imports, on the other hand, increased by 9.6 percent to reach $61.9 billion, while the international services trade balance gave a surplus of $63 billion with a 3.6 percent increase.

Targets Exceeded and Global Share Increased

Leaving behind the $121 billion target set for 2025, the highest service exports figure was achieved by exceeding the $122.6 billion included in the CBRT Balance of Payments.

As a result of this significant success, Turkey rose to the position of the 22nd country with the highest exports in global service exports, and its global share became 1.29 percent.

Global Average Growth Rate Exceeded

Between 2002 and 2025, Turkey's service exports showed an average annual growth of 10 percent.

According to World Bank data, this rate exceeded the average annual growth rate of global service exports, which is 7.5 percent.

Sectoral Distribution and Leading Areas

When examined on a sectoral basis, travel services ranked first with a 48.1 percent share and $60 billion, while the logistics and transportation sector realized exports of $42.6 billion with a 34.1 percent share.

The telecommunications, computer, and information services sector was recorded as the sector with the highest growth, with a 24.3 percent (representing 25.3 percent) increase.

Countries with the Highest Exports

In data based on countries, the US ranked first with an export figure of $8.3 billion.

The US was followed by Germany with $7.4 billion and the United Kingdom with $4.3 billion.
