Universities Asked to Form Coalitions for Sustainable Development
During a special webinar, it was announced that higher education institutions must engage in multi-stakeholder structures to achieve sustainable development goals.
At an online event held by the United Nations Higher Education Sustainability Initiative (HESI), the importance of universities forming broad-based coalitions to strengthen education for sustainable development was emphasized.

In the two-hour webinar featuring numerous participants from around the world, it was stated that universities need to join growing multi-stakeholder coalitions in society.
During the meeting, a special HESI toolkit prepared for advancing the green and sustainable economy was also introduced to participants.
Emphasis on Multi-Stakeholder Collaboration
Session moderator Debra Rowe stated that they build coalitions by bringing together different groups working on green development.
Rowe shared that when she is invited to train faculty and staff, she requests that mayors, chambers of commerce, and environmental organizations also be in the meeting room.
International Projects and Presentations
Within the scope of the event, experts and academics from various countries such as Ethiopia, Italy, Kosovo, and Kazakhstan shared their ongoing projects and work.
Among those who delivered presentations were representatives of different institutes and project managers.

Following the gathering, for which hundreds of people registered, the video recording of the session and various resources were made available to participants.
