VEKAM Award for Ankara-Themed Productions at the 37th Ankara Film Festival
At the festival, organized in cooperation with Koç University VEKAM, a special award will be presented to the documentary or short film that best portrays the capital.
Within the scope of the 37th Ankara Film Festival, to be held by the Foundation for Mass Communication Research between November 12–20, a special award will be presented in cooperation with Koç University VEKAM to support productions reflecting the culture of the capital.

The 37th Ankara Film Festival, realized by the Foundation for Mass Communication Research, is signing a meaningful collaboration this year that will enrich the cultural and visual memory of the capital.
The Objective of the VEKAM Award
The award, to be given in cooperation with the Koç University Vehbi Koç Ankara Studies Research and Application Center, aims to encourage directors who explore the dynamics of the capital through cinema.
Contribution to the Archive and Access
The winning production will be included in the VEKAM Library and Archive, making it available for researchers in the future and contributing to the city's memory records.
Application Schedule and Dates
Applications for the National Documentary Film and National Short Film competitions are accepted until September 11, 2026, while the deadline for the festival poster competition has been set as September 18, 2026.
