‘Nobody will win’: Zelenskyy adviser warns of mutual destruction if war with Russia continues

Serhii Beskrestnov, defense technology advisor to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, stated that there will be no winner in the ongoing long-range attack war with Russia, and that both countries will face complete economic and infrastructural destruction.

Mutual Destruction and Stalemate

While ongoing long-range attacks between Ukraine and Russia pose significant risks for civilians, defense technology advisor Serhii Beskrestnov emphasized that this conflict will have no winner.

Beskrestnov stated that the economies and infrastructures of both countries will be ruined following the war, making this situation illogical and necessitating a halt to the fighting.

Energy Threat During Winter Months

Advisor Beskrestnov expressed deep concerns that the electricity, water, and heating systems of the capital, Kyiv, could be targeted during the upcoming winter season.

Drawing attention to Russia's ability to produce more than a hundred high-speed ballistic missiles per month, the official stated that elderly citizens might need to be evacuated due to potential major outages and attacks.

Technological Developments and Counter-Moves

The rapid evolution of the war has also provided Ukraine with ways to retaliate, such as plans to launch midnight unmanned aerial vehicles targeting economic and military objectives.

While both sides continue to develop technologically—with Russia suspected of using AI-powered drones—Ukraine is advancing its own autonomous systems.
