Putin says ‘all weapons at disposal’ if there’s an attack on Russia – as it happened

Speaking at the Valdai Discussion Club, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that all available weapons would be deployed in the event of a direct attack on his country. During the same period, security warnings came from NATO and Germany.

Statements Made at the Valdai Summit

Russian President Vladimir Putin made striking evaluations at the annual meeting of the Valdai Discussion Club in Moscow. Referencing regions such as Kaliningrad, Putin announced that they would not hesitate to use all weapons at their disposal if a direct attack were carried out against their country.

Arguing that such statements serve as a response to potential conflict preparations by Western politicians, Putin stated that they have no intention of attacking anyone unless they are subjected to an outside attack or aggression.

The War in Ukraine and Western Policies

Putin claimed that conflicts in the international arena will continue as the hegemonic power of the West weakens. Reiterating his views on the war in Ukraine, Putin claimed that they were forced to enter this war due to NATO's expansion and aggressive policies.

Security Warning from NATO and Europe

Warnings from the Western front directed at Russia were not delayed. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, speaking during the Westphalian Peace Prize ceremony, drew attention to the ongoing war in Ukraine on the continent and increasing Russian hybrid attacks, stating that Europe is not at peace today.

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz also shared with the public that his country is preparing against large-scale hybrid attacks and is ready to respond swiftly.
