The Yemeni Armed Forces secured control of Jabal Matran as a result of an operation carried out in the city of Taiz, while Saudi warplanes launched airstrikes on various points in the region.
Jabal Matran Operation
The Yemeni Armed Forces completely took control of Jabal Matran through operations they conducted in the strategically important Taiz region.
Within the scope of the operation, a significant amount of military equipment, including armored vehicles and various types of weapons, was seized.
Airstrikes Conducted
According to information reflected in Yemeni media, Saudi warplanes carried out aerial operations in the region simultaneously with the operation.
It was reported that the strikes targeted the al-Omari and Bab al-Mandab areas in the Dhubab district of Taiz, with a total of six airstrikes taking place.
Other Targeted Areas
According to information provided by the Al Masirah news outlet, the Hayfan district of Taiz was also the target of three separate airstrikes.
No details have been shared yet regarding any possible loss of life or material damage resulting from the airstrikes.
Conflict Situation in Taiz
Located in southwestern Yemen, Taiz has constituted one of the main fronts of clashes between the Yemeni Armed Forces and Saudi-backed forces since 2015.
The southern al-Salu region and the western coastal Dhubab district are at the center of the clashes in the region due to their location near the strategic Bab al-Mandab Strait.
